Murdoch Veterinary Clinic Staff

Dr. Christine Murdoch - WCVM ‘88

Dr. Murdoch graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 1988. She started her own practice in 1991 working out of her truck and then expanded to an in-clinic facility in 1993. Dr. Murdoch rode jumping horses competitively and still rides when time permits. She plays basketball in the winter and enjoys water sports in the summer. Family is very important to her and she takes great pleasure in spending time with her husband and daughter.

Dr. Jodyne Green - WCVM’06

Dr. Green is originally from Manitoba and decided to give beautiful BC a try after graduating with distinction from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation she received an award for excellence in large animal surgery. She has also co-authored articles in equine reproduction, which she will be presenting at an American Association of Equine Practitioners conference this winter. She is an avid golfer in the summer and hockey player in the winter.

Kelly-Anne Heinrichs - Office Manager

Kelly-Anne started here in September 2007. She completed her Business Administration diploma in Management & Marketing at CNC. Currently she has 3 dogs, 2 horses and a rat. She sits as a Director on both the North Cariboo BCSPCA Community Council and the Shell-Glen Improvement Society.

Kristy Johnson – Animal Health Technologist

Kristy worked here as a kennel attendant for 2 years before returning to Lakeland college to become an Animal health technologist. She started back here in May 2006. At this time she has one cat with a big attitude and is hoping to get a dog in the near future.

Kebrina Horrocks – Animal Health Technologist

Kebrina has been working here since Nov 2006. She graduated as an Animal Health Technologist from Fairview College in 2005. She has a 2 year old yellow lab named Lily and a cat named Kinx. She enjoys camping, hiking and being outside.

Kelly Maitland – Animal Health Technologist

Kelly started here in June 1998 after receiving her diploma in Animal Health Technology. She lives with her husband and her young daughter. They have one dog. She enjoys hiking, archery and gardening.

Mikayla Vandervelde – Receptionist

Mikayla completed a Veterinary Administrative Assistant program at NAIT. She started working here in April 2007. She enjoys playing with her dog Saydie, soccer, basketball and volleyball.

Kacie Halonen – Assistant / Kennel Attendant

Kacie grew up on a hobby farm in Mission and was involved in local 4H. She moved here in 2001 to complete her Bachelors of Science in biology. She has been working here since November 2004. Currently she is going through the application process for the Western College of Veterinary Medicine.

Shannon Carroll – Assistant/ Receptionist

Shannon has been working here since August 2004. Her family consists of her husband, daughter and son as well as 3 cats, 2 Jack Russell terriers, 1 chinchilla, 2 hamsters and 3 horses. She is interested in dressage riding and is hoping to breed her mare this year.
